The
ceiling systems of commercial construction are required to meet certain
hourly fire ratings.Even though recessed is often the preferred light
source,the clearance hole required in the ceiling for recessed completely
voids the fire rating of the structure.Conventional recessed is inadequate
to re-establish the fire rating of the ceiling after the hole has
been cut for the light fitting.
